7 Tips To Recognize The Fake Web Designers}

7 Tips To Recognize The Fake Web Designers

Joseph Bray

It takes a lot of time, skills and efforts to learn how to properly design a website. Building a website is not an easy task. A website design can be divided into series of different ways. A bad website design can hinder the performance as well as the reputation of your business. Many sites on the Internet I’ve come across, haven’t been designed keeping in mind the basic principles of web designing

, because of lack of knowledge of their designers. In this article, we are going to reveal how to choose the right designers to meet your business needs.

1) Recognize the fake web designers

For that you need to check out their portfolio! Are they looking professional? Is the design of the websites that you found in their portfolio appropriate to meet your requirements? Have you found out some sample website designs that are logical, easy to use and responsive? Do they provide easy to navigate ability? Keep all these basic fundamentals in mind.

2) Process of web designing

YouTube Preview Image

The website design is a process of planning so make sure that the designer understands the search components deeply. Undoubtedly, there are many fake designers who are able to build professional websites that may lack in clear designing, relevancy, and informative images.

3) Maintenance of the website

The most common issue with fake web designers is lack of technical skills. They don’t let you update the content after the project has been completed. Without timely updations, the site may go unresponsive and outdated.

4) Engage Customers through blogs

If you are marketing your business over web but don’t have a blog column then you might be beaten down by your competition. Fake designers usually miss that column in order to reduce their work stress. A blog is a platform that allows you to drive your business and may help attract more visitors to your website.

5) Testimonials

Most designers include testimonials column from previous customers on their website. It’s a good idea to see what your customers are saying about your services. But fake designers sometimes don’t include such testimonials on their website due to not a very good record of customer satisfaction.

6) Online Reputation

To find out goods and bads about a company, online reputation plays a significant role. You can check out their online reviews, social media platforms, websites etc to know the environment of the company.

7) Offline Marketing

Small businesses exist in numbers far larger than big companies.

It is ever more important for your business to stand out from your competition with a professional, consistent imageyour corporate identity, namely from your web design, company logo, to the offline marketing collateral such as business card and flyer designs etc.

It is important to create a successful website that score high in various search engines and one that has an appealing appearance and a good functionality. If you are able to design such a site, chances are that your site can help expand your business and hopefully, that’s for a very long time!

Furry fans flock to Further Confusion 2007

Tuesday, February 6, 2007

San Jose, California – Cell phones, cigarette lighters and glowsticks are raised in tribute as Circle of Life begins playing. Soon cheers drown out the song as the multicoloured performers appear on stage. A somewhat unusual introduction; but this is no ordinary show, and these are no ordinary attendees. This is Further Confusion, the second largest furry convention in the world.

The volunteer organizers have something to cheer about, too; Furry fans have gathered from far and wide at the DoubleTree Hotel to indulge their love of anthropomorphics, and Further Confusion’s 9th year is its largest, with a paid attendance of 2061. Their gains mirror those of Midwest FurFest, a similar convention held in Schaumburg, Illinois which grew 35% last November.

Both events feature art shows and auctions, live puppetry performance, masquerades, variety shows, games and parades, as well as panels that range from science and technology to society, sex and spirituality. Filling out the schedule, the hotel walls are lined with announcements of public and private room parties for separate groups. At night, the disco floor fills with dancing cats, dogs, and dragons.

For some, dressing up plays a large part of the convention – almost 300 brought a full costume. There are few professional mascots here, though, and only one or two of the costumes would be recognized by even the most avid cartoon-watcher. Instead, each act is planned and performed by other attendees, wearing “fursuits” of their own design. Many play off the year’s secret-agent theme — “Fur Your Eyes Only”.

Other fans seem content to restrict themselves to small accessories — perhaps some combination of paws, ears, or tail. Each fur bears a 3″x2″ badge detailing their personal character, or “fursona“. Often these characters are better-known than the people who play them.

It may seem lighthearted, even frivolous, but these conventions are becoming big business. Furry fans spent over $180,000 for lodging during the five days (Jan 18-22) of Further Confusion, and another $50,000 at the art auction. Attendees also purchase all manner of merchandise from attending dealers and artists, from on-the-spot art commissions and comic books of all ratings to prints, sculptures, and plush toys – even their very own fluffy tail.

Of course, any business has risk, and conventions can drain wallets when the sums just don’t add up. The first furry con, ConFurence in Southern California, ran successfully for over a decade, but cost its new organizer an estimated $60,000 in its last four years due to falling attendance before folding in 2003.

Anthropomorphic Arts and Education board member Peter Torkelson says that won’t happen to Further Confusion. Indeed, the convention ran a healthy surplus of almost $30,000 on $125,000 revenue last year, allowing it to pay off the last of its old debts and save for the future. As Torkelson explains: “The idea is if for some reason, say an earthquake happens, and it cripples the revenue stream, the convention will be able to survive into the next year. It does help our staff to know that we have [a reserve].”

The reserve also gives AAE the financial flexibility to fund charities throughout the year, a big part of its 501(c)(3) mandate. Over the nine years of the convention, attendees have raised over $60,000 for a variety of animal sanctuaries, wildlife refuges, and the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund.

Further Confusion’s hopes for the future are high. Chairwoman Laura Cherry noted that, unlike previous years, the board has “gone all out” for next year’s tenth anniversary, booking as many rooms as the hotel could offer. The host for 2009 has yet to be decided, but for many fans the question was not whether the current hotel will reach a limit, but when – and where – the convention will find a new home.

Chelsea’s Robben sent off after “over celebrating”

Tuesday, January 17, 2006

Today, a controversial decision was taken by referee Chris Foy in a recent match between Sunderland Association Football Club and Chelsea Football Club in the U.K. to send off Chelsea’s Robben after “excessive celebrations”. The decision was taken after Robben proceeded to embrace fans beyond the barriers of the club, which was seen by the referee to be a breach of safety regulations, as well as FIFA policy.

As consensus, ex-match officials watching the game agreed the decision was thought to lack common sense. However, the policy of restricting player celebrations was introduced into FIFA policy last year after safety concerns from various match officials. FIFA rules state several situations in which celebrations may lead to booking;

  • If, In the opinion of the referee, a player makes gestures which are provocative, derisory or inflammatory.
  • If the player climbs on to a perimeter fence to celebrate a goal being scored.
  • If the player removes his shirt over his head or covers his head with his shirt.

However, the rule which BSkyB stated in the pre match commentary was more relevant, because the aforementioned rules were not in any way broken; referring to the fact that perimeter fences were only common in Spanish football. The guideline stated that “leaving the field to celebrate a goal is not a cautionable offense in itself but it is essential that players return to the field as soon as possible“.

Despite the justification of the referee’s call, both Robben himself, and commentator Andy Gray questioned the common sense nature of the decision, noting that quick thinking and spontaneous decision should be something a referee focuses on, rather than the implicit enforcement of minor rules.

In response to the decision, Andy Gray noted;

I can’t believe it, celebration is a natural thing to do.. all he was doing was simply celebrating after a job well done with his fans. It wasn’t like he was actually inciting fans because it was his own side. This really is the most silly call I have ever seen a referee make in my history of commentating.

Talks with TGWU and Gate Gourmet to resume later today

Saturday, August 13, 2005

The Transport and General Worker’s Union and Gate Gourmet, the company that laid off 500 workers after workers staged unofficial strike action, will attend further talks held at a conciliation service by the Advisory Conciliation and Arbitration Service (ACAS) on Saturday.

The director of Gate Gourmet, Richard Wells, denied that he was being “heavy-handed” over the dismissals. He insisted that the people affected were spoken to, and given written warnings before they were sacked.

As a result of British Airways (BA) staff at Heathrow joining Gate Gourmet’s staff in the strike action, BA are running 50% of their short-haul flights, and 40% of their long haul flights today from 0600 BST/UTC+1. They are expecting to add more flights to the schedule as the day progresses, so passengers are advised to check the British Airways website.

Analysts said that the disruption may lose BA next to £40m because of the refunds that the company are paying out, loss of flight revenue, and the costs of accommodating passengers in nearby hotels.

Only passengers with confirmed reservations have been allowed to board flights at Heathrow. Barriers have been placed around Terminal 4 to stop people without reservations from joining flights. There are limited catering services on-board the flights.

British Airways advises passengers to telephone +44 (0)800 727 800 or check their website before travelling to the airport. They also said that they would refund customers that had to stay in a hotel on Friday night up to £100.

It is noted by passengers, though, that the advice line can be engaged for long periods, so users of the telephone line need to be patient.

Qantas, Finnair, GB Airways, Sri Lankan Airlines, and British Mediterranean are also affected, as they were serviced by BA’s ground staff. Their telephone numbers are listed below.

  • Qantas: +44 (0)870 000 0123
  • Sri Lankan Airlines: +44 (0)208 538 2000
  • Finnair: +44 (0)8705 997711
  • GB Airways: +44 (0)870 850 9850
  • British Mediterranean Airlines: +44 (0)870 850 9850

Homeopathy proponents jailed for allowing daughter to die

Wednesday, September 30, 2009

In Sydney, Australia, Thomas and Manju Sam were jailed after being convicted of manslaughter on Monday. The court found they had failed to take their ill daughter to medical appointments, and shunned the effective conventional medical treatments offered. Instead they chose homeopathic ‘alternative’ medical treatments which the medical profession generally considers to be pseudoscience. As a result, their then nine-month-old malnourished daughter Gloria died of the skin disorder eczema in 2002.

In the evidence, the Crown prosecutor, Mr Tedeschi, said that the Sams ignored repeated advice to send Gloria to a skin specialist for her eczema. The severity of her condition made her skin so thin that it was constantly breaking and becoming infected. Creams provided by medical doctors were not used; they preferred to employ homeopathic drops as a method to treat her illness. By the time they finally sought treatment, “her skin was weeping, her body malnourished and her corneas melting”, and she died from the complications and massive infection caused by the effectively untreated eczema.

Gloria suffered helplessly and unnecessarily … from a condition that was treatable.

In his ruling, Supreme Court Justice of New South Wales Peter Johnson stated that “Gloria suffered helplessly and unnecessarily … from a condition that was treatable.”

Thomas received a maximum sentence of eight years and is no longer allowed to practice homeopathy. Manju received a maximum sentence of five years and four months.

Homeopathy is a form of alternative medicine which uses substances that have gone through a process of serial dilution so extensive that in most cases, no molecules of the original are likely to remain. There is no convincing evidence that it has any effect greater than placebo. For it to work as homeopaths claim, basic well-tested scientific laws would have to be wrong.

Natural Remedy For High Blood Pressure

Submitted by: Tiana Johnson

Natural Remedy For High Blood Pressure

If you are looking for a natural remedy for high blood pressure, I would like to share some very important health changing information with you.

Did you know that one out of every three people in the world have some form of heart disease? High blood pressure is one of the leading symptoms and blood pressure medication is big business for the pharmaceutical companies. Once you are put on medication to reduce your blood pressure, you will be on it for the rest of your life.

High blood pressure puts you at high risk for heart attacks and strokes and many people aren’t even aware that they have it or are at risk. I had no idea that I had high blood pressure and had probably had it for a long time.

I was bitten on the hand by a centipede and the next day I realized I had a red streak, indicating an infection, running up my arm. I went to the emergency room to have the infection taken care of and when they took my blood pressure it was 226/120. I didn’t even have a doctor, at the time, as I had always been healthy and hadn’t seen a doctor in years.

I found a doctor and was put on blood pressure medication. The first medication I was put on made me so sick, I couldn’t continue taking it. I could tolerate the second medication I was put on, but I still suffered many of the side effects given below. Hence began my search for a natural remedy for high blood pressure.

YouTube Preview Image

The many side effects from taking blood pressured medication include:

upset stomach

constant coughing

potassium lose causing muscle cramps

erectile dysfunction

frequent urination at night

Doctors don’t give you natural alternatives to lower your blood pressure, they simply write you out a prescription and tell you to change your diet.

Fortunately there is a natural remedy for high blood pressure. In 1998, Dr. Louis Ignarro won the Nobel Prize in medicine for his discovery of the role Nitric Oxide plays in eliminating heart disease. Nitric Oxide removes plaque from the arteries and returns the arteries to their original flexible condition.

The only problem is that Nitric Oxide, when taken as a supplement, does not last long enough in the body to do its job. Research showed that L-arginine, an amino acid supplement, creates Nitric Oxide in the body.

Further research showed that when L-arginine taken in pharmaceutical grade and strength, accomplished the goal of removing plaque from the arteries and making the arteries flexible again. In other words, it has been shown that a good L-arginine supplement can actually lower blood pressure and help to eliminate heart disease. I highly recommend you read the book, “No More Heart Disease” written by Dr. Ignarro.

If you have been searching for a natural remedy for high blood pressure, you will be happy to know that a good L-Arginine supplement is essential to turning back the age of your arteries, to what they were in your youth. All supplements, however, are not the same quality and I urge you to do your own research. My blood pressure now remains between 112/74 to 120/79 without medication.

In closing I would like to tell you that blood pressure medication, not only contributes to the wealth of the pharmaceutical companies, it does nothing more then treat your symptoms. A good L-arginine supplement will treat the cause of your symptoms. Which would you rather do?

10 Ways Music Can Help You During The Holidays

By Susan Dunn

This might be a time of year where youre looking for, oh, some different ways to soothe, level, motivate, energize yourself and otherwise get on top of your cascading emotions. The EQ Foundation Course emphasizes the great arts as an adjunct to Emotional Intelligence, though the not-so-great are helpful too. May we suggest?

1. Need to get solidly centered

Like, as the metaphysicians say, when you vision yourself growing a tail and having it grow like an anchor down to the center of the earth kind of centered?

Try anything with a big solid bass, up loud, but make sure the lyrics dont interfere. The right-brain will dominate and youll hear the music first, but your left-brain will still be getting the lyrics. Therefore avoid, for instance, “Oh Elizabeth” with it’s solid beat but sad lyrics.

OUR SUGGESTION: I Loved Em Everyone, by T. G. Sheppard

2. Need to deal with something heavy, such as last year your father died on Christmas Eve and here comes the first anniversary

OUR SUGGESTION: Only classical music will work for this and thats why we call it classical. For such a deep need, to maintain your grip when somethings rocked the foundation of your world, we recommend, Beethovens Eroica.

“Eroica” means “heroic” and that you will need to be. Beethoven lived through the worst thing that can happen to a person. Its there, in his music. For you.

3. To get lightly level

YouTube Preview Image

OUR SUGGESTION: Nothing will probably ever compare to Pachelbels “Canon”. After that we give 5 stars to George Winston, particularly December. Good masseuses play these tapes. There are no ups and downs and that may be just what you’re aiming at. 🙂

4. To rip the heart out of Christmas, like when you want to just sit down in front of the tree and cry at the beauty and the splendor of it all and get it over with and then eat a pint of Haagen Daz and go to sleep.

OUR SUGGESTION: Pavorotti’s Christmas video (, Panis Angelicus duet with the little boy, especially if you had a little boy who now has whiskers on his cheeks. Or Placido Domingo with the Vienna Boys Choir. Then you can pull out your heart and put it on the table beside you, right there beside the dish of peppermints, and the cinnamon-scented candle, and you’ll know you had Christmas.

5. Want something Christmassy but light

OUR SUGGESTION: Harp music is good for this, like for baking cookies to. It doesnt pull the emotions. Its close to the lyre, the instrument the Greek god Orpheus played to soothe the savage beasts, and to win a favor from Hades, the god to whom there is no altar (death), the god with whom there is no bargaining.

Completely upbeat, light and fun is “A Reggae Christmas,” by Various Artists, and yes, my friend, “sensei” does rhyme with “pear tree.” Listen to it on the way in to work. That’s girl’s laughter will carry you through your day. Go here ( ) to hear samples. Listen to it on the way in to work. That’s girl’s laughter will carry you through your day. (The Ras Family, “We Wish You a Merry Christmas”) And June Lodge’s “Joy to the World” will bring joy to YOUR world.

6. Need to get some work done, sick of Christmas, got the kids around, underfoot and bored?

GP RECOMMENDATION: (1) “Great Balls of Fire,” Jerry Lee Lewis. How could you possibly be mindful with that going on? Its great fun. It will clear the air. (2) “Don’t Worry Be Happy,” by Marley.

NC-17 RATED VERSION: The Pogues with Kristy MacColl, “Fairytale of New York”. “It was Christmas Eve in the drunk tank … The boys of the NYPD Choir were singing ‘Gallway Bay’ and the bells were ringing out on Christmas Day,” and C.D.’s favorite line, a wry and melancholic Irish lad himself, God rest his soul in peace, “You scum bag, you maggot you cheap lousy …, Happy Christmas your ass, I thank God it’s our last.” Ah, the Irish, they would’ve conquered the world were it not for …. No cards and letters, please. Sometimes ya gotta vent. That’s what art is for, catharsis. (P. S. Use your EQ; don’t take “it” out on your partner.)

7. The out-laws are coming, I mean the IN-laws, and you, exhausted, crabby and high on sugar as you are, must clean the house and you arent exactly in the MOOD for a Christmas Carol, if you know what I mean

OUR G SUGGESTION: If you havent cleaned house with your two preschoolers marching along behind you to a John Philip Sousa march, you havent lived. Give the little one a paper hat and get out his toy drum. Ok, now quit laughing and taking pictures and get back to work, you!

OUR PG SUGGESTION: Got older kids you need to get working with you? Call it “the main event,” and put on the Jock Jams, “Let’s Get Ready to Rumble.”

OUR X RATED SUGGESTION: You and your partner put “Cotton Eyed Joe” on — I mean the Texas version and invent your own lyrics appropos to the, um, challenges of the moment. (This is popular at office holiday parties with adjusted lyrics as well!) And DO the Cotton Eye Joe as you push that vacuum around. Here’s how ( ).

8. Need to be inspired and also to get in touch with the spiritual side of Christmas

OUR SUGGESTION: Handel’s Messiah, Hallelujah Chorus, of course. Just the chorus, unless you’re an aficionado and can afford to tire yourself out.

Remember, if you will, that when you hear “The Hallelujah Chorus,” you are to stand up. Do this. Right there at home in your living room. It will do something for you.

9. Now, or any time youre beginning to feel just slightly resentful of all your blessings

OUR SUGGESTION: Lord, What Did I Ever Do, by the Oak Ridge Boys is great for attitude adjustment.

10. For the peace that passeth understanding

OUR SUGGESTION: Stille Naq, Noite de Paz, Noche de Paz, Sainte Nuit, Cicha Noc, Glade Jul, Stille Nacht, Po La`i E, or, as many of us know it, Silent Night, the lullaby that’s been translated into every language on earth, composed by the greatest unsung duo in musical history, Mohr (lyrics) and Gruber (melody).

We also recommend “Ave Maria.” Especially the Caccini, arranged by Brinums, sung by Inessa Galante, available here: . For more, see .

Let them still your heart and bring you peace.

Emergency inspections ordered on all Boeing 737s in aftermath of China Airlines explosion

Tuesday, August 28, 2007

The United States Federal Aviation Administration has issued an emergency Airworthiness Directive to all owners and operators of certain Next Generation Boeing 737s to inspect their aircraft in light of recent developments in the investigation of the recent China Airlines explosion.

The measures have been imposed due to the discovery that a structural bolt in the aircraft that exploded had come loose and punched a hole in the aircraft’s right wing fuel tank.

It is thought the bolt came loose after a worker failed to replace a washer after a routine maintenance procedure several months prior to the accident.

Boeing spokesman Jim Proulx said “This was determined to be an issue of flight safety… It’s very, very important.”

Operators must complete an initial inspection of the wing slat assemblies of the affected aircraft in ten days, and must ensure the fasteners are properly torqued within 24 days. They must then repeat the inspections every 3,000 flight cycles thereafter. The directive is believed to affect over 2,000 aircraft worldwide.

Restrictions imposed in China textile trade with U.S.

Saturday, May 21, 2005

In an effort to ease complaints by the U.S. and Europe about a heavy influx of low priced Chinese goods, China will raise export tariffs on 74 categories of textile products in June. This follows plans from the U.S. to impose quotas on Chinese textiles and clothing.

Products likely to see an increase from the Chinese move include synthetic fiber shirts, trousers, knit shirts and blouses, cotton shirts, and combined cotton yarn. Last week, similar restrictions were imposed by the U.S. on cotton trousers, knit shirts, and underwear. Currently, a 2.5 cent charge per item is imposed; the new tariff will raise this to the equivalent of 12 cents per piece now. While this is a fourfold increase, it is not expected to affect consumer prices. Because of this, some doubt the tariff will have any effect on correcting the trade imbalance.

This move is in response to U.S. trade quotas imposed due to concerns that increased Chinese goods would put U.S. textile manufacturers out of business. According to Auggie Tantillo, executive director of the American Manufacturing Trade Action Coalition, a textile industry group in the U.S., the move will preserve 10,000 U.S. jobs. The new U.S. trade quota will limit the growth of Chinese textile imports to 7.5 percent compared with shipments over the past year.

Prior to January 1, a global quota system helped regulate the trade. With the quota system gone, fears have arisen that a flood of Chinese goods could undercut U.S. competitiveness in the market. China is able to market its goods cheaply due to an artificially weak yuan. The U.S. Treasury criticized the China yuan policy as “highly distortionary”, posing a major risk to China’s economy itself and to global economic growth. They challenged China to revalue its currency to bring it to a level they believe will allow fairer competition between global manufacturers.

China has disputed the charges of the U.S. Treasury. Chinese Commerce Minister Bo Xilai said, “I believe they are not reasonable”.

Laura Jones, a representative of large retailers, also criticized the move, saying “These restrictions on imports from China will do absolutely nothing to help the U.S. textile industry — and the government knows it.”

China has seen a boom in economic growth in recent years due to growing trade surpluses with the West, but economists worry that the trade gap will cause longer term global economic problems. China’s textile and apparel exports are the most noteworthy example, with exports up over 1,000 percent in some categories this year and the rapid loss of marketshare and jobs by U.S. textile manufacturers.

Beginning in 1978, the Chinese economy has been transforming from a Soviet-style centrally planned economy to more of a free market style system, under the rigid political control of Communist Party of China.

To this end, the government has leveraged foreign trade to stimulate economic growth. The result has been a fourfold increase in GDP, making China the sixth largest economy in the world. By 2012 the People’s Republic of China may have the highest GDP in the world.

According to U.S. statistics, from 1999 to 2004 China’s trade surplus with the U.S. doubled to $170 billion. Wal-Mart is China’s seventh largest export partner, just ahead of the United Kingdom.

However, the gains from their “socialist market economy” have not been without problems. The Chinese leadership has often experienced the worst results of socialism and capitalism: bureaucracy, lassitude, corruption, and inflation. Inflation rates have been an on-going challenge, reaching as high as 17% in 1995.

Environmental deterioration is a longer-term threat to economic growth. In 1998, the World Health Organization reported that China had seven of the 10 most-polluted cities on Earth. Another concern among some economists is that China’s economy is over-heating, and due to its global economic expansion this could have major repercussions among other nations.

Typically, wages have been low and working conditions poor, with workers living in restrictive dormitories and working at boring factory jobs. However, recent labor shortages have started improving conditions, and raising the minimum wage towards the equivalent of 100-150 US dollars per month. The labor shortages are in part a result of a demographic trend caused by strict family planning.
